I have a very good sci fi buddy named Scott Davis. I believe he had a publishing over at the Book of Tentacles (I think that is the name). I wish there was a way for you two to meet. Are you familiar with www.critters.org? It's a free writer's critique group. There are many many sci fi writers there and think they'd read your stories like child eating candy. I spent hours critiquing stories early last year. It was unbelievable how much it helped. Unfortunately, I burned myself out, but I plan to jump on the band wagon again. Getting feedback is so helpful, but you also have to take it with a grain of salt. I told Kate to keep an eye on you, I think it's only a matter of time you'll be swamped in (well deserved) publishings. Is there a point to this whole comment? I'm sure there must be. :) check out www.critters.org.

sure, I'd love to read it. Red rover red rover send your ms on over to jessjo33@gmail.com...

The complication is that the mc is an eighteenmonth old girl. Her language skills are very limited, so having an alien speak weird alien language when the little girl can barely understand/speak human language is going to be tricky...

Yeah, I promise to give those self published book reviews either today or tomorrow.

Barry,
This will probably sound crazy to you but over the holidays, I was reading five books at one time. Two of them were from self published authors, of which I would love to give a good review here, one of them Dean Koontz' Your Heart Belong's to Me, and the other...um, not sure if I finished, I can't even remember the title. I do have about three or four books that I'm looking foward to reading. It's just that right now I have all these time lines for another group of rewrites, two coloborations. Also, had the priviledge of working with two classy ladies as part of an editorial group 6s Twilight Carnvial mag we will be turning in to Rob soon. Shhhh..it's a secret. Didn't think you'd spill the beans.
I'm feeling that urge to shut it all out and read a good book. Infact, I think I'll sit down tonight. Either the third book in the Wicked series or a book called The Shack that was highly recommended to me.

Thanks for talking about books with me. I love to read and it's fun to find others to talk to about them. :)

BTW - do you write sci fi? And editor just got back to me saying he'd accept a story if I can make the alien voice more alien. LOL. I can imagine and dream up alot of different things, but for some reason I have the classic. "I am an alien, take me to your leader. I come in pieces. Story pieces." Alien voice in my mind.

Gotta jet. Have a good day!

Yeah, crunch mode!! My assignments that were due last week for my online class, the grades haven't been posted yet, and I was having alot of trouble with the computer that day and to top it off, I had to do them on a computer at school and didn't have my flash drive to save them. So if they didn't make it to my instructor, I have to do them ALL over again. I'm covering my bases here and doing them again and saving them so they are ready in case I do need to re-send them.

Thank you for the invite, Barry! I am an avid reader and the only reading type site I am on is goodreads. Glad to be here. I am always looking to broaden my reading world!
