Review
I've been wanting to read this book ever since finishing Hobb's Farseer trilogy, and it certainly didn't disappoint. I've enjoyed it as much, if not more than those fine books. I look forward to the sequel, but unfortunately my public library only has this and the third in the series! I've requested that they order it! If they can't I may have to make a rare purchase. I simply must find out what happens to Althea, Wintrow, Vivacia, Paragon, Amber, Brashen, Captain Kennit ... such a great cast of viewpoint characters. In fact, that's one thing I loved about this book -- the multiple viewpoints, stories which all slowly grew more intertwined. Hobb is a master at building up expectation and then hitting you with the unexpected. It happened a lot in Farseer. I expect more of the same.
